Family owned and operated in Clarksville
Robert and Ashley Mackey
A husband and wife who got tired of hearing that nobody would come out for the small stuff.
Repairs On The Run opened in May 2023. Robert and Ashley run it together, out of Clarksville, and between them they bring over 20 years of combined industry experience to the work.
The idea came from a pattern they kept running into. Somebody needs a ceiling fan hung, a door planed so it latches, a fence post reset and a hole in the drywall patched. Four small things, maybe half a day of work. Every contractor they call wants a bigger job, and the list sits on the fridge for another year.
So that became the business. The small stuff nobody else will show up for, done properly, with a warranty behind it. Over time that grew into full turnovers, flooring, decks and fences, but the principle has not moved: no job on the list is too small to do right.
Being family owned changes how this works in practice. When you call, you are talking to an owner, not a call center. When we quote something, that is the number. And when something is outside what we should be touching, whether that is work needing a licensed electrician or plumber, or a job big enough to require a Tennessee state Contractor License, we say so plainly instead of taking the money and figuring it out later.

Credentials
Exactly what we hold, and what we do not
Plenty of outfits are vague about this. We would rather you know precisely where we stand.
What we hold
- Montgomery County Business License #0049195
- City of Clarksville Business License #114333
- Insured
- 60-day warranty on work performed
What we do not hold
- A Tennessee state Contractor License. Tennessee requires one for jobs of $25,000 and up, so we do not take work at that scale.
- Electrical or plumbing trade licenses. Those are separate Tennessee licenses required at any job value.
- A surety bond. We are insured, and we are careful not to describe that as bonded, because they are not the same thing.
A county or city business license is a permit to operate a business. It is not a contractor license, and we will never let those two blur together in how we describe ourselves.

How we work
No surprises on the invoice
We tell you what it takes before we start, we tell you the moment something turns out bigger than it looked, and the number at the end is the number we said.
